A few weeks ago we finished off the wedding photobook that we made for Sue & Stanley’s wedding. Their wedding was unique and unlike anything we had attended before.

Sue & Stanley had a pagan hand fastening, at a woodland venue called Albion Days in Norfolk (just outside Norwich).
The whole ceremony was performed outside. Luckily it turned out to be one of the hottest weekends of the year, which was amazing as it coincided with Glastonbury – which let’s face it, is a byword for mudfest!.
The wedding had a medieval theme, with all guests entering into the spirit and turning up in costume. For most weddings we wear a smart suit, but for this one we were asked to fit in with everyone else, so we were happy to source an appropriate medieval outfit.
The bride and groom wanted a relaxed informal style of photography, with just a handful of posed shots. A benefit of a posed shot is that it can guarantee that everyone is looking at the camera and smiling at the same time!

Part of Sue and Stanley’s package was to have their photo of choice worked to a high standard in postproduction. There are a few notable changes from the original to the final version. The people in the background were removed and trees/ plants put in their place.

Before Photo: distracting people, and some cosmetic issues to deal with

After Photo: Everyone in the background has been removed, and work done as requested.
This wedding was a great learning experience and a thoroughly enjoyable day.
